Volunteer Opportunities

Currently we are seeking volunteers to oversee our front office and reception areas on weekday evenings from 5:30 - 8:30. Contact Martha at 972.264.0604.

We are also seeking a volunteer to register students for our Truancy program. The volunteer would be required to spend 2 to 3 hours in the justice of the peace court in Grand Prairie on Tuesday mornings. You may volunteer to cover 1 or more Tuesday dockets per month by contacting Steve Tankersley at 972.264.0604 ext. 104. No special skills are required for this position, but a neat and professional appearance is preferred. Volunteer must be 22 or older.

Other opportunities:

• Programming and Data entry in Microsoft Access
• Follow up telephone calls to clients
• Serving on the Board of Directors
• In-kind Donations (supplies, services, equipment, etc.)
• General Office Support (answering phones, doing filing, etc.) especially bi-lingual
• Waiting Room monitors – 2 to 3 hour shifts
• Working on Fundraising Events / Golf Tournament (June), Little Lunch of Horrors (October)
• Clean up/Fix up
• Develop/Maintain Newsletter
