Play Therapy A therapy that utilizes the elements of play in a judgment-free environment to help our youngest clients (typically age 3 – 8) express their experiences and work through their troubling feelings.
Art Therapy A helpful means of expression that is often used in conjunction with play therapy or talk therapy for children of all ages.
Talk Therapy The therapy of choice for children who can adequately express their experiences and emotions verbally.
Advocacy Our counselors are sometimes called upon to help aleviate fears surrounding legal proceedings that a child may be involved in related to family violence or abuse. When necessary, a counselor may attend court hearings as an advocate for the child. Filial Therapy Parents wishing to further assist their child in the therapeutic process at home are trained to practice the elements of play therapy in their homes.
